In 1997 the San Diego Posse was an original member of the N.P.S.F.L.  In 1999, the majority of those players along with a refurbished administration formed the San Diego Enforcers.  Due to a lack of sponsorship the Enforcers withdrew from the League in 2001. The San Diego Enforcers with several veteran and new players, along with a new and rejuvenated administration have been reborn and are set to take the field for 2007 and beyond.
