Houston Gunners

History

The Houston Gunners are a registered 501 C (3) nonprofit organization that was founded in October 2004 by Houston Police Officers to raise funds for charitable organizations through full-contact football.

The Houston Gunners Football Association combines an All-American Sport with Community Service. The team is comprised of Law Enforcement, Fire, and Correction personnel from across the City of Houston and the surrounding counties. The Houston Gunners Football Association emanated from the sincere spirit of competition and camaraderie of some dedicated full-time public servants.

Proceeds from the regularly scheduled games are donated to the Assist the Officer Foundation, Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. (Greater Houston Chapter) which nationally serves over 200,000 youth participants throughout the United States and other local charities.
